Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving? Make these adorable turkey hats for guests to wear while you celebrate!
Here are the supplies needed for this craft:
- RoseArt Poster Paints
- RoseArt Glue Sticks
- Construction Paper in brown, light brown, orange and red
- White Paper Plate
- Googly Eyes
- Cotton Swabs
Start by cutting your paper plate in half. You will only need half of the paper plate per hat, so plan accordingly!
Next, take your RoseArt Poster Paints and cotton swabs and paint the grooves of the plate with the different colors. Use as many colors as you would like, the more colors the more vibrant your hat will become!
When the paint is dry, take your brown construction paper and cut a 6” circle then cut in half. Use your RoseArt Glue Stick to glue the semi-circle inside of the plate.
Now, start to make the face of your turkey. Take the remaining pieces of construction paper and cut out the head (light brown circle), a beak (orange, triangle shape), and a waddle (red, rounded ‘L’ shape). Carefully glue all of the pieces together with your Glue Stick. Be sure to add the Google Eyes as well!
The turkey wouldn’t be complete without two legs on either end! Cut two strands with the orange construction paper and fold it like an accordion. Glue onto the ends of the plate.
Finally, cut two strips with your brown construction paper. Glue the strips to the back of the plate, then staple the two pieces together to fit around each person’s head.
Enjoy your turkey day!
