Celebrate the last days of summer with this fun and colorful flower craft! All you need are a few of your favorite RoseArt products and other household items to get started.
- RoseArt Tempera Paints in Red and Yellow
- RoseArt Paint Brushes
- RoseArt School Glue
- Construction Paper in White, Green and Red
- White Paper Plate
Start by painting red and yellow Tempera Paints on the white construction paper. No rhyme or reason to the painting, just fill the paper completely and allow time to dry. I used my RoseArt Paint Brushes to blend the colors. You can also substitute the paints for your RoseArt Broadline Markers if you want things to be a little less messy!
From there, paint your paper plate with the RoseArt paints. I used yellow predominately, but added hues of red for a little flare.
While the pieces are drying, take the red construction paper and cut out 1” thick strips (about 6 total).
Then, take your green construction paper and cut out a stem and small leaves. Glue the pieces together using your RoseArt School Glue and set aside.
Once the plate and construction paper is dry, start to create the ‘petals’ of your flower and cut the construction paper into 1”thick strips. Then, make loops to represent the petals and staple them to the back of the paper plate. Alternate the red strips as well.
To complete your flower, glue the flower onto the green stem and leaves. And here you have it! Enjoy your beautiful homemade flower!
