Here is a fun activity to reuse old jar lids and make a fun and unique craft – Glitter Bugs! It’s a great project for a rainy day, or even a fun birthday party craft! Start by collecting the items for your glitter bugs:
- RoseArt Glitter Glue
- Different sized jar lids
- Googly eyes
- Different color pipe cleaners
- White paint
Take your jar lids and paint them white to cover up any designs.
Once the paint is dry, coat the jar lids with your RoseArt Glitter Glue – be sure to use generous amounts and try different colors!
I chose to use the RoseArt Jumbo Glue Tubes and they were so easy to use! What I loved most what how easy it was to apply the Glitter Glue and spread throughout the lid and on the sides! Very easy, fun, and hardly messy at all!
Before the glue dries, add the googly eyes (this will help save you a step!).
Once the glue is completely dry, add the pipe cleaners to the bottom of the lids to act as legs. I used tape to make sure the legs stayed in place.
And now you have your cute glitter bugs! You can place them on your windowsill as a cute trinket, or a fun decorative piece anywhere around the house. Enjoy!
