I was shopping at my favorite Target store, and found 4×6 picture frames for less than $2! Of course I couldn’t pass up this amazing deal, so I thought it would be really great to decorate the frames and give them away as gifts! And what better way to decorate than with RoseArt Colored Pencils!
Not only is this craft another great use for your RoseArt Colored pencils, but it is also a great gift idea for teachers, family and friends.
Here are the supplies needed to create the frame:
- RoseArt Colored Pencils
- RoseArt Glue Gun
- Picture Frame
- Hobby Hacksaw *please be careful, the hacksaw is very sharp and not suitable for children!
Before starting I separated all of the colored pencils. Since spring is right around the corner, I wanted to use bright colors for the frame, such as blue, pink, green, yellow and orange. Now we are ready to go!
From there, I determined the number of vertical and horizontal pieces I needed. For this frame, I needed four RoseArt Colored Pencils per side. Every frame will be different, so please adjust as needed!
Then, I trimmed the pencils using my hacksaw – please make sure you are super safe when handling the saw!
Once all the pencils were cut, I laid all the Colored Pencils out and got my RoseArt Glue Gun ready. I randomly placed the pencils on the frame and glued the vertical sides first, then placed the horizontal pieces.
The frame turned out amazing, and I can’t wait to fill it with a great picture and give as a gift! But shhh…it’s so cute I might keep it for myself!
