Beat the heat with these DIY folding fans! You can recycle your Popsicle sticks to make your one-of-a-kind fan. Check out the instructions below!
Warning: Please be advised that this craft requires adult supervision and assistance!
Here are the items you need for this craft:
- RoseArt Broadline Markers
- USA Gold #2 Pencil
- White Paper
- Popsicle Sticks
- Small Nail
- Electric Drill with 1/16 Drill Bit
- ¼” Cork Stopper
This first step is for adults only!
Take six Popsicle sticks and drill a hole at the bottom of each stick with a 1/16 drill bit. Each Popsicle stick should have a small hole in the exact same spot.
Once completed, stack the sticks on top of each other and place a small nail through the hole to secure the sticks together.
Secure the end of the nail with cork; this will ensure you don’t get pricked.
Adults, hand this craft back to your little one to continue the creativity!
Spread the sticks out like a fan. Be sure that the sticks are evenly spaced.
Take your white paper, and trace the shape of a fan around the sticks.
Cut the outlined fan out and decorate with your RoseArt Broadline Markers. You can also decorate with RoseArt Watercolors.
Tape the paper onto the Popsicle sticks, and then carefully fold the fan together like an accordion, stacking the sticks on top of each other once again.
Open your fan, and now your fan is complete!
Beat the heat this summer with your new fan!
