School is back in session, and reading season is in full effect! Help make reading fun with these easy DIY bookmarks!
Here are the supplies needed for this craft:
– RoseArt School Glue
– White card stock paper
– Multi-color tissue paper
– Yarn or Ribbon
– Hole Punch
To start, take your white card stock paper and cut the size of a bookmark. I cut mine about 8″ tall by 2″ wide.
Take your tissue paper and cut into several different shapes. Choose a variety of your favorite colors that will show off your personality.
Next, take your RoseArt school glue and place in a small bowl. Thin down the glue with a little water and mix.
Here is where the craft can get a little messy. Take one piece of your tissue paper and soak in the glue/water mix. Carefully place on your bookmark and remove the extra glue. I recommend placing plastic wrap under your bookmark to avoid ruining your table!
Repeat this as many time as you’d like until the bookmark echos a stained glass effect. And don’t worry if the tissue paper goes over the bookmark edge. We will take care of that later!
Once the bookmark is completely dry, carefully cut the excess tissue paper off of the edges. Next, punch a hole at the top and add a ribbon or yarn for a finishing touch.
