Fall is officially here, and it’s time to decorate your home with some fall designs! Here is a quick and easy craft idea to spruce up the house and get ready for fall. Not to mention, this is a great activity to try with your family!

You only need a few items to complete this craft. Here’s what you’ll need:

–          Fall Colored RoseArt crayons (especially the crayons that are broken!)

–          Scissors

–          Iron

–          Wax paper

–          Small Towels

–          Paper Towels

–          Leaf template (draw it yourself or print one out online)

Start by choosing two or three of your favorite RoseArt fall colored crayons (my favorites were RoseArt Scarlett and RoseArt Yellow Orange).  Then cut a piece of wax paper approximately 8 ½ x 11” (size of letter paper).

Using your scissors, shave a thin layer of the crayons onto the wax paper.

Once you have filled the wax paper with crayon shavings, cut a second piece of wax paper and place on top.

Now, get your ironing board ready and set your iron to warm. Place a towel on the ironing board, then the wax paper on top.  You can also place a paper towel over the wax paper to protect your iron. *I recommend using the towel and paper towel as the colors will bleed. It will help to preserve your iron and ironing board!

Gently press down on the iron and spread the colors throughout the wax paper. Once the colors have evenly spread, allow the wax paper to cool and turn off your iron.

Next, place your leaf template under the wax paper, and start to outline the leaf with a pencil. *Make sure the outline is barely visible!

Use your scissors to cut out the leaf template…and viola! You have your fall leaf creation!

I added my Fall Leaves to my living room and it looks great! What a quick and easy way to add a bit of fall to the house (especially being here in Southern California!)!
